Welcome to my piano studio! With over 40 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about sharing the joy of music through personalized and effective piano lessons for students of all ages and skill levels.
It is a privilege to guide children on their musical journeys and to help adult students discover or rediscover the beauty of piano music amidst their busy lives.
I look forward to helping each student build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Teaching Philosophy
I believe that piano education is much like learning a language. Just as language fluency develops through understanding vocabulary, structure, and expression, musical fluency is built through learning notes, rhythm, technique, and theory—strengthened through regular practice and performance.
A well-rounded piano education nurtures not only musical skills but also confidence, creativity, discipline, and self-expression. Through music study, students develop cognitive, emotional, and artistic abilities that support growth both at the piano and beyond.
My goal is to help students become independent, expressive musicians and develop a lifelong appreciation and love of music.
Lesson Approach
Every student is unique. I tailor my teaching to each student's age, personality, learning style, and goals. During the first few lessons, I observe how a student learns, responds, and stays engaged before developing an individualized learning plan.
I emphasize steady, thoughtful progress rather than rushing through material. Repertoire and teaching strategies are carefully selected to support both technical development and musical enjoyment. When needed, I adapt materials and approaches to maintain motivation and encourage success.
While providing guidance and structure, I also encourage students to think independently, make musical decisions, and take ownership of their learning. Through this process, students gain the confidence and skills to enjoy music independently for years to come.
