Studio Lesson Policy
1.Lesson Structure
Lessons are individualized to support each student’s growth in technique, repertoire, and music theory.
• Beginning and elementary-level students typically receive 30-minute lessons.
• Intermediate-level students generally transition to 45-minute lessons as repertoire, technique, and theory studies become more advanced.
• Upper intermediate and advanced students are encouraged to take 60-minute lessons to support continued musical development and more comprehensive instruction.
• The director oversees all curriculum and progress to ensure quality and consistency.
2. Tuition Policy
• Monthly tuition is based on the number of lessons scheduled for that month and reserves the student’s regular weekly lesson time.
• Absences due to travel, camps, school activities, or other personal scheduling conflicts are not eligible for refunds, credits, or tuition adjustments.
• A non-refundable registration fee of $50 is required upon enrollment and covers administrative setup and studio materials.
• Monthly invoices for the upcoming month are sent during the last week of each month.
• Accepted payment methods are Cash, Check, Venmo, and Zelle.
• Tuition and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Sibling discounts are not offered to maintain consistent tuition rates for all students.
• Lessons that fall on studio-observed holidays are not included in monthly tuition.
• Lessons canceled by the studio will be rescheduled or credited to the following month.
3. Attendance & Makeup Policy
Regular attendance is essential for steady musical progress. If a student needs to miss a lesson, please notify the studio as early as possible.
• Makeup lessons may be offered as a courtesy when scheduling permits but are not guaranteed.
• Same-day cancellations and no-shows are not eligible for makeup lessons.
• Makeup lessons must be scheduled and completed within the same calendar month as the original missed lesson.
• If a makeup lesson cannot be scheduled or completed within the same calendar month, the original lesson is forfeited.
• A missed or canceled makeup lesson cannot be rescheduled.
• Exceptions to the makeup policy may be considered for sudden illness, injury, or family emergencies at the director’s discretion.
4. Summer Schedule (June–August)
Summer months often include family travel, camps, and changing schedules. To accommodate these seasonal changes, the studio offers limited scheduling flexibility during June–August.
• Summer flexibility applies only during June–August. From September through May, all absences follow the regular Attendance & Makeup Policy.
• Families are encouraged to maintain consistent lessons throughout the summer whenever possible.
• Families should communicate summer travel plans as early as possible. Schedule adjustments must be arranged in advance and are subject to studio availability.
• Students taking an extended summer break may not be guaranteed their preferred lesson time upon returning in the fall.
• Once invoiced, lesson schedules, lesson counts, and tuition may not be adjusted without prior studio approval.
